The Executive Director for Senior Living will be responsible for establishing the strategic direction to achieve operational excellence at these communities.

As the Executive Director: Senior Living, below are your responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage day to day business operations of one independent living (91 apartments) and two assisted living communities comprising (72 units) located on three separate campuses within ten miles of each other.
  • The Executive Director will ensure exceptional quality and service, sustained resident satisfaction, colleague engagement, operational efficiency, and strong financial results of all three locations.
    • Involvement in every facet of the operation - Hospitality, Dining, Marketing and Sales, Wellness and Fitness, Community Outreach, Facility Management, Programming, Recreation and Engagement, Clinical Services, and Administrative Support.
    • Ensure positive engagement of residents, family, friends, and team members by maintaining a positive, open-door atmosphere.
    • Demonstrate effective communication, lead by example, ensure outstanding attention to detail in resident care and wellbeing.
    • Set standards for quality assurance and foster positive resident and family relationships.
    • Have direct responsibility for hiring, training, and leading a high performing team.
    • Ensures each community is appropriately staffed at all times. Have direct responsibility for the financial management and regulatory compliance of the communities.
    • Lead the Sales and Marketing process, in order to meet or exceed occupancy and revenue targets.
    • Responsible for providing comprehensive leadership for all three communities in goal setting, operational management, and long-term growth.
    • Acts as the responsible party before, during, and after formal licensing inspections.
    • Ultimately responsible for all paperwork required by the Department of Social Services, Health Department and corporate regulations.
    • Responsible for the general well-being and health of residents in the community.

Qualified individuals will possess the following:

    • Bachelor's degree, Master's Degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience working in the Senior Living industry including Assisted and/or Independent Living-CCRC leadership experience a plus.
    • Multi-site experience preferred.
    • Computer proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite as well as the ability to learn new applications.
    • Demonstrated proficiency working with financial statements.
    • Passion for the VHS mission of helping Individuals Live Their Best Life, emphasis on resident centered care and hospitality/customer service.
